No one can deny that child obesity is out of control. Physical education class at schools may serve as the single source of exercise for some children. Rock climbing is an activity that will engage and challenge kids of all ages, sizes, and skills. A school climbing wall can provide a whole array of new opportunities and benefits for students: sports teams, after-school programs, fundraisers, staff development, at-risk student programs, team building, and exposure to fast growing sport.

Back in 2002, Outdoor Escape's school climbing wall program with Aldine Independent School District (AISD) was featured on NBC with Tom Brokaw highlighting our involvement in new alternative programs for children in an effort to control child obesity.

Basic Gymnasium Climbing Wall Package

The Basic Gymnasium Package includes:

  • 20x20 climbing wall for top rope climbing with naturally incorporated routes, holds, and edging features
  • Up to 5 top-rope belay stations
  • All necessary climbing gear: harnesses, belay devices, carabiners, anchors, holds, bolts, and route setting tools
  • Safety flooring options
  • Staff training and development

Elite Gymnasium Climbing Wall Package

The Elite Gymnasium Package includes:

  • Custom designed climbing wall for top rope climbing, with naturally incorporated routes, holds, and edging features, perfectly suited for a particular location
  • More advanced climbing terrain including arêtes, dihedrals, and overhangs designed to increase climbing skill and technique
  • Can be set-up for lead climbing
  • All necessary climbing gear: harnesses, belay devices, carabiners, anchors, holds, bolts, and route setting tools
  • Safety flooring options
  • Staff training and development
